Thanksgiving Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. Bright and early this
morning I put the turkey in the oven at 6am then Shane and
I headed to Sedona for a 5K Turkey Trot. So now that we burned
off some calories it was time to get home and start preparing the meal.
Shane's sister, brother, and niece Destiny and Jason and Great Grandma
Barabara came up to have dinner with us. It was a great time, the food
was excellent as well as the company. Shane and Kenneth even had
a 100 yard race outside on the road. It was quite funny, we have
that on video. Hope everyone had a great day today as well!

Our Princess

We had Elise's 6 month pictures taken 2 weeks ago
and I just got the CD in the mail today. I was so
excited and very happy with how they turned out.
She has been such a sweet thing and we just love
her to pieces and her big brother too!

A trip to the fire department

Today we took a trip to go a see the fire trucks or
Christian like to call them fillo trucks. We wanted to get
out of the house today and we were trying to think
of what we could do. So I suggested going to the
fire department. Shane and I enjoyed it just as
much as Christian did. I had never been in a
fire truck or inside the fire house.

This is fireman Bob who showed us around. He
was more that happy to answer all of our questions.
So if you ever want to get out with the kids and not
sure what to do, stop by your local fire department it
is sure to be a hit for your kids!

My first 5K as a mom

Today I ran my first 5K since I was in high school. I am

training for a half marathon with my friend Lisa. So we are

going to try to get a few races under our belts before the

big one.

The race was here in Flagstaff at a place called

Buffalo Park. It was sponsored by Girls on the Run. It a

organization the is for young girls, teaching them about

self-esteem and being happy with who there are.

It was great being part of something that is so important

in our culture and the struggle girls can have.

It was pretty windy today but it felt good when we finished.

It was a great sense of accomplishments and the bonus

is that we are training at high altitude. I am hoping

that when we run our race in Phoenix it will seem to

be a lot easier.

Spending time with our cousins

We headed down to Phoenix last weekend and stayed

with my cousin. It was fun to see the kids interact

and play together.

Lexi loved Elise and was being the little mother.

Kalli and Christian are only a few months apart from

eachother. Being 2 years old can be tough

especially when it comes to sharing.

Shane's new golf buddy

Shane took Christian to the driving range for the
first time and he absolutely loved it. I can
see them in the future playing together.
