Elise is ONE!

We had Elise's first birthday on Sat. I can't believe
that she is one. She loved being the center of attention
and eating her ladybug cake. We had family and friends
over for an afternoon and I was so thankful the
weather was perfect. Shane and I have loved
having her part of her life for she brings us so
much joy! We look foward to the next year
and really seeing her personality bloom.

Shane running.......

Shane did it! He ran the Boston Marathon and did
awesome. He ran in 3 hours 12 min and 44 seconds.
He qualified for next year if he want to run again.
It was such a great experience to watch. All the towns
that you run through really have great support.

They said there was 500,000 people and I believe
it. It was wicked packed (you say wicked everytime
you would normally say really out here in Boston).

This was right after the race. It was a maze to find the family
waiting area and when I got there with Shane's change of
clothes he was freezing. I made it just in time.
I am so proud of him, what an accomplishment.
Let me tell you it was really motivating to watch and
made me want to get back and start running.

There was military running with all of their gear and
whenever they went by the crowds went crazy. At time
everyone was chanting USA! USA! USA!

Our trip to Boston

We went to Boston to watch Shane run
the BOSTON MARATHON but
we went early so we could see some
old friends and have some fun before
the race. It ended up raining a few
of the days. On Sat we went to
the Boston Childrens Museum
which was crazy because everyone
else was there but a lot of fun.
We stayed with our friend Ken and Amie
and they have two kids Stella and Cole.
Everyone got along so well it which
made it nice for us parents.

Swimming Lessons

Christian has been takking swimming lessons that
last couple of weeks and on the last day they get
to jump off the diving board.

Elise and I watch him in the family
waiting area. She has got a lot
of practicing walking here.

Weekend to Colorado... Keenen and Sarah's Wedding

I just love this picture. I couldn't believe she
kept the glasses on.
At the wedding reception.

Elise is walking now and she is too cute.
She looks so small to be walking, but
she is doing great.

Easter Sunday

This morning was Easter Sunday or we like
to call it Resurrection Day! We did get the kids
baskets and Christian enjoyed going through it.

We had a big lunch after church with family and friends.
Here is Shane with his mom and sister Holly.
We ended up with 30 people. 20 adults and 10 kids.
It was so fun. I really enjoy entertaining and loved
every minute of it. We had a wonderful feast and
everyone helped out by bringing a side dish.

I had bought cookies and icing and the kids decorated
while the dads were out back hiding the eggs for
all the kids to find.

Here are our friends and family that came to join us!
Christian and his buddy Dennis
My friend April
It was a lot of fun watching the kids look for Easter eggs.
Christian had such a fun time. He didn't want to eat his
dinner later though and wanted chocolate. I am glad
he didn't get too many eggs.
We had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday and most
important of all our Lord and Savior is Risen!
