This past weekend I decided to get down the bike we
were waiting Christian to ride when he was tall enough
and ready to ride a bigger bike.
He has had a balance bike since before two and cruises
on that thing everywhere. Friends of ours told us that if we got
him a balance bike instead of a bike with training wheels that
when he is ready he could go straight to a big boy bike
never going through the training wheels on the bike.
Well sure enough I practiced with him for about an hour in front of
our house and before we stopped I was running along side him
and he was riding the bike all by himself. The next day we took
him to the park to practice turning and he picked that right up.
Then on Sunday we practiced again and the next thing I know
he is riding around the block with the neighbor kids.
It in unbelievable, he is only 3 1/2 and it is crazy that
he is just zipping around on his new bike. I am so
proud of him but also can't believe how fast he is
growing up right in front of my eyes.
