Horse Shoe Bend

On our way home from Page last weekend I decided

to stop at Horse Shoe Bend. It is a lookout over the

Colorado River and the beginning of the Grand Canyon.

I have always seen tons of pictures from it and pass it

everytime we go to Page but we never pulled over to check it out.

So I thought this would be the perfect day to do it.

I don't know if I was thinking clearly

because I was by myself with the two kids

and had our dog Jesse with us. It was

little longer hike than anticipated and

Elise wanted me to carry her most of the

way, while Jesse is pulling my with the leash.

When you get to the edge to see, there is no fence

of any kind so it can be a little nerve racking having

two little kids you love to run ahead of you all the time.

I am glad that we saw it but I was a little stressed while

we were there.

It was a sight to see!
